📐 Geometry Lab

What is this?

Geometry is the study of shapes, sizes, angles, and spatial relationships. The Geometry Lab lets you explore areas, perimeters, and angle properties of 2D shapes interactively.

Why does it matter?

Geometry is used in architecture, art, engineering, navigation, and game design. Every building, map, and screen was designed using geometric principles.

Key terms
Perimeter — the total length of all sides of a shape Area — the amount of 2D surface enclosed within a shape Angle — the measure of rotation between two lines; in degrees Polygon — a closed shape with straight sides (triangle, square, pentagon…) Radius — the distance from the centre of a circle to its edge Hypotenuse — the longest side of a right triangle, opposite the right angle
🎯 Try this challenge

A triangle has a base of 8 cm and a height of 5 cm. Calculate its area using Area = ½ × base × height, then verify in the lab. Next, find the area of a circle with radius 4 cm.
